The Team Running Futures Fun Factory

Active Luton has been selected by Marsh Farm Futures as the preferred operators of  the Futures Fun Factory.

Active Luton is a charitable social enterprise established in November 2005, providing a range of sport and recreational services and facilities across Luton. Responsible for developing sport throughout the town, Active Luton also has a key role working with schools to improve health and fitness levels in children.

Our Mission Statement :
‘to improve the health and well being of our local community, offering accessible, affordable opportunities in physical activity.’

Training

Futures Fun Factory staff, running specialist activities, have a background in sport and exercise and will have received specialist training before undertaking any lead activity. Active Luton prides itself on the training it provides for all staff whatever their role.

Programmes

Activities for Physical Development

Play equipment in Futures Fun Factory has been carefully and creatively designed to encourage exercise in a controlled yet fun environment – activities such as sliding, crawling, balancing, swinging, bouncing, squeezing, hand eye coordination, ball skills, etc, everything a developing child would expect to experience at play.

Our Early Years Totz Around programme is specifically aimed at the under 5’s and will provide a range of specialist physical activities such as Mini Nastics and Let’s Dance. These are fun and wonderfully stimulating classes which are led by fully trained and qualified Early Years fitness instructors; so you and the children are in great hands.

Kidz Club is an opportunity for after school, organised, fun activities. Run by Futures Fun Factory Activators, this is the one time adults really can have a rest and leave it to our specialist team. We have two age groups 5-7 years and 8-12 years. To participate in Kidz Club which is a one and a half hour session, you will need to become a member and also book and pay in advance.

For our 13-16year olds there is an exclusive session on a Thursday evening from 6.00-8.00pm. This is an open play session fully managed by the Futures Fun Factory staff.  You will need to become a member to join Teen Time and book an pay in advance.

Activities for Mental Development

A variety of activities are aimed at promoting mental stimulation including story time, make believe play development, role play, confidence building, arts and crafts area, and social interaction.

Time for Adults

Our priority is naturally making sure children have a great time at the Futures Fun Factory but we also want adults to enjoy the experience too. Our on- site Café will give you time to relax and catch up with friends but there are also a number of organised Coffee Mornings planned, with specialist talks featured in our monthly  ‘That’s Living’ guest speaker programme.

Corporate Events and Family Celebrations

For the more adventurous and energetic adults and for businesses seeking to create some real team spirit, Futures Fun Factory provides the ideal setting for business games,  as part of our specialist team building programmes. It also makes the perfect venue for family celebrations and social events.

Parties

Plan ahead for birthday parties and special events at the Futures Fun Factory.
We have a variety of options with a selection of hot and/or cold party foods and two hours of ultimate fun and enjoyment. Trained party activators will lead the parties although adults will still need to be present -  1 adult to 4 children over 5years  and 1adult to 2 children under 5 years.
